Colección: Rosacea

The exact cause of rosacea is not fully understood, but it's believed to involve a combination of genetic, environmental, and vascular factors. Triggers for rosacea can include sun exposure, spicy foods, alcohol, temperature changes, stress, and certain medications. Rosacea tends to affect adults, typically between the ages of 30 and 50 and is more common in individuals with fair skin. Rosacea is characterized by persistent redness of the central face, including the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. Other common symptoms of rosacea include flushing, visible blood vessels, bumps or pimples resembling acne, and occasionally, thickened skin. Treatment for rosacea may include topical medications, oral antibiotics, laser or light therapy to reduce redness and blood vessels, and lifestyle modifications (e.g., avoiding triggers, and gentle skincare). In some cases, a combination of treatments may be necessary to effectively manage rosacea symptoms.
